The vacuum cleaner is a valuable ally for cleaning one’s home, garage, hobby room, garden, office as well as all those rooms within which, more or less often, a conspicuous amount of dust and coarse debris is generated. By using this tool, dirt can be collected very quickly, resulting in an effortlessly clean and safe environment.
Sometimes, however, some small problems may occur that momentarily hinder the proper operation of the product and do not allow us to get the maximum result, but they can be easily solved. Here are the most common vacuum cleaner problems and how to solve them.
There can be two reasons for this:
Suction may be faulty. In this case, clean the inlet port of the suction hose;
The tank is full. Empty and clean it thoroughly.
If your vac no longer sucks as it should, the problem is probably a clogged filter. We advise you to clean it thoroughly. (In general, it would be good practice to clean it after each use).
Here is how to properly clean the filter:
Turn off the vac and unplug it from the mains;
Remove the filter;
Shake the filter;
Wash the filter under running water (in case it is a washable cartridge filter) and wait until the filter is thoroughly dry;
Put the filter back on your vacuum cleaner.
If the filter breaks, we recommend that you always replace it with an original spare part to make sure you get the best performance.
Again, the issue may be related to the proper operation of the internal filter.
Check if:
The filter is sound and safe. It is important that it has no cuts or damage. Otherwise, we advise you to replace it with an original spare part in order to always get the best result;
The filter is mounted correctly. Check its placement through the printed instruction manual you received at the time of purchase or, where possible, through the digital manual viewable on the product page on the Lavor website. If it is different from the image, remove it and place it correctly;
The filter is clean. If it is not, remove it, shake it out and clean it properly, following the directions outlined in the previous section.
If your vacuum cleaner is not working, first check whether the collection drum is full. If not, we recommend that you contact your nearest service center to quickly identify the issue and get back to full use of this fantastic household cleaning product.
Having your own vac on hand at all times is an important advantage to be able to pick up dust and dirt quickly and effortlessly whenever it is needed. To prevent small and large daily problems from occurring, a good practice is to perform thorough periodic maintenance.
To ensure the good performance of your product remember to:
Turn off the vacuum cleaner and unplug it before any cleaning of the product;
Always empty the tank and remove the bag once full;
Clean the filter thoroughly, if possible after each use, and replace it if it is damaged;
Use a damp cloth to clean the tank internally and externally;
Clean the accessories you have applied, then store them carefully until the next cleaning.
If you follow these little tricks in your daily routine, you can safeguard the operation of your vacuum cleaner for a long time. This way you will achieve maximum results and keep your environment clean, healthy and safe, without stress and effort!
